I do Nintendo 64 rom modding and hacking. I mainly work on modding Mario Kart 64 and doing interesteing things with the Gameshark. I also sometimes make games or various hacks which might get posted here.

Battle Santa 64 is a special 2023 Christmas single player version of Battle Kart 64 that follows the tradition of the OverKart 64 Christmas Mod. In Battle Santa 64, you play as Santa Claus trying to take back the presents stolen by Bowser, Wario, and Donkey Kong. You have five minutes to collect as many as you can. They will run away so you will need to chase them down, hit them, and pick up the presents they drop. After five minutes you will see how many you have collected, what your high score is, and can restart by holding A and B simultaneously to try again. See readme for more information. |

Mario Kart 64: Death Race is rom hack for Mario Kart 64 inspired by the Death Race in F-Zero X. Each player gets 3 hit points (HP). Spin outs, hits, getting squished, or having Lakitu picking you up causes 1 HP worth of damage. If you have 1 HP left, you turn dark to indicate one more hit will kill you so be careful. Lose all your HP, you are dead, and the course restarts in GP mode. The race will not end until one player is left standing. Kill all the players and you win, and you go to the next course in GP mode. Death Race is playable in both GP and VS modes. Console compatible. Expansion pak required. Use “CPUs use human items” patch for more of a challenge. Use “Wii” patch for playing on Wii emulators. See readme for more details. This is actually a very complex Nintendo 64 Gameshark code of over 1400 lines. This patch for Mario Kart 64 (USA/NTSC) gives the CPUs in Grand Prix mode some of the same items a human can use. CPUs can finally fire shells, use multibananas, and triple mushrooms. Normally CPUs can only use single bananas, stars, ghosts, fake item boxes, single mushroom boosts, and lightning. They spawn the items all at the same time up to three times per lap and draw from their own item probability tables. With these new items the CPUs can use against you, GP mode is now more challenging! CPUs never used shells, multi-bananas, triple mushrooms, or golden mushrooms. Through an exhaustive look into the game’s code, micro500 and I were able to deduce how CPU players spawn items. It turns out that a lot of this code never made it into the final game, and has remained hidden for over 20 years in the inside the game’s rom. Some of it it was never fully debugged or finished. This patch takes most of the unused CPU item spawning code that works and adds it back into the game with some custom assembly code. See the readme.txt for more details. I converted the CPUs use human items patch into a Gameshark code. This way you can easily add it to an emulator cheat list or combine it with other things using my Gameshark Code Injector. |

In Mario Kart 64 there is a green thwomp mysteriously locked behind bars in Bowser’s Castle. He has been unofficially named Marty and has been the subject to longstanding rumors that he can actually be unlocked as a playable character. Several hoax and April fools joke images and videos have popped up over the years supposedly showing the convoluted things you need to do on the track in Bowser’s Castle to unlock Marty as a playable character. Well now you can finally race as him with this hack! This hack only works in Bowser’s Castle for Player 1 but it works for all engine classes and in both Time Trial and VS. mode (so you can play your friends as Marty). This hack was originally a (long) gameshark code, and these patches were made using my Gameshark Code Injector. You can find the original gameshark code and explanations for how it works by clicking here. The code can be copied into your favorite emulator, or into a a real Gameshark if you have the patience you can type it. |
